adrians,
I have 2 of them in thier original form and shoot them often.
I had Buckshot make me a couple of push through sizing dies and shoot Paper-patch 318 boolits in mine.
I shoot for the pleasure of shooting and have never gotten serious about groups and sizes , even tho some of the guys at the range say I should, so can't tell you how accurate they are but it makes people stop and look when the confetti starts raining down.

I enjoy mine and think you will also.Just don't expect something 100 years old to act like something 10 years old.

Ps: looking at the pictures I see a bent bolt handle.
originally they were straight so yours has been changed.
Are the receiver and bolt numbers matching?
looks like a great one. Mine came out of South America and looked like they had been used as clubs instead of guns.

I don't have any suggestions for boolits, but that's one nice looking rifle!

The spoon handle bolt is 100% correct. See the google link. All the Kar88 have that bolt handle.

Lyman 160 gr Loverin or the Lee 8mm 170 gr sized .321".

I've got one of the Ecuador Gewehr 88 but it has a new Czech barrel. I've not played with cast bullets in it yet. The RCBS .32 Winchester Special 170 gr flat nose at .321" would be peachy keeno, me'thinks.

My rifle is a Guild gun conversion of a military long rifle , 1890 version, still chambered, throated, rifled for the .318 nominal, with a 24" barrel. I've shot it quite a bit with several bullets from the RCBS 180 special to the 250 grain Lee, all sized .323. Most every bullet with a GC will go under 2" @ 100 with the iron sights and 4895-varget speed powders.
