I stopped in at the tire shop today where one of my council members is the manager. I needed to make an appointment for rotation and to have something looked at in the front end. I asked if he had any WWs saved for me since I got four heaping 3 gallon pails a month ago for $30. :grin: He wandered out and brought back a half a bucket, said don't worry about compensation. :grin:

I also scored. On the way to a Dr. apt. I stopped at the salvage yard, and got 287 lbs of the softest sheet lead I have ever seen. The bad news is we were in a KIA, and I couldn't haul the other 600+ lbs. There is a steep mountain between home and the Dr's office, that would be dangerous if grossly overloaded.
The price for dead soft new (bright with no ozide) sheet lead scrap was .50/lb.
My 45-70 is already saying thank you.

That kia could hold it. My old rio held a speaker box with speakers that weighed in around 300 lbs plus it dragged my big ass and my friends around the texas hill country.
