Was at the Cabellas store in Omaha yesterday. They had Magtech small pistol primers (mfg in Brazil by Fabrique Au Bresil), for 26.00. All the rest of their primers were about 32.00 a brick, and (I think) about 3.95 per 100. bought a brick of the Brazilian made to try only because of price. Has anyone had any experiance with this brand?

Will ge going to Sheels and Guns Unlimited (GU) sometime this week to check on primer prices for comparison. The last time I checked GU most of their primers were about 28.95 a brick. Federals were appreciably higher.

However, as a factor of realism, I filled up at 3.25 a gal at the same station where gas was 3.03 the week before. Sure don't like the change, but hope change in what we have now is on the horizon.

My shooting buddy and I have gone through 15-20,000 Magtech Large and small pistol primers with no problems. I would buy them again if they became available locally again.

I have used a couple thousand large pistol. Worked fine and would use again at the right price.

Just received an order from Cabela's. Bought some Magtech Large pistol primers, were out of small size. So far so good. Loaded and fired several hundred without any problems

So far I've run around 6,000 Magtech SP through a K-38. No misfires.

I bought a box of Magtech primers a while back. They were cheaper than CCI. i used them to prime my practice loads for my M1 carbine. I loaded my match loads with CCI. My practice secession always scored higher than my match scores. I soon figured out it was the primers. Now the M1 carbine is no accuracy platform, but I do shoot it seriously. I wish I could buy more Magtech primers.

They are GTG

1Shirt, you are blessed not to live in Kalifornia. We pump it out of the ground locally, refine it locally and then sell it for $3.85 locally. If we have to ship it all the way out to where you can buy it then it sells for $3.25. GO FIGURE!! Enjoy the gas. Rod

My only complaint on Magtech primers is that they are kinda hard like CCI and sometimes FTF in light hammer fall race guns.

I've never had any problem and used to buy a lot of them when they were $78 for 5000.
