im building a custom rifle (another one) and i need a Barrel 20+ inches that is threaded for a 7.7 jap can someone tell me where i can find one? or does anyone here have one for sale? or what is the threads so i can get one from a gunsmith.

I'll assume you're asking about a type 99, if so de Haas lists it as:

1.050 major diameter with approximately 17 V threads per inch that are .700 inches long. The bolt recess is given as .700 diameter by .312 deep. The extractor cut is shown as .470 wide.

A gunsmith should have no problems re-barreling your rifle if he has the old one to measure. I doubt you'll find a pre-threaded/chambered barrel as not to many people re-barrel Arisakas.

Wow you have picked a fairly hard action to build into a custom gun. Elk hunter is right the thread pitch is about 17.3 TPI you must find a gunsmith that can cut metric threads. They also cock on close, and the safety is kind of pain to do anything with. I have several of type99 and 38 laying around my shop someday I might do something with them. With all the 98 Mauser's on the market today you might be money ahead to go with the Mauser.

I did one for a friend, used the closest english thread pitch, chambered it to 7.62x39...seems to work :-).
