In the center of the group shot, this strange mold is marked on the side of one of the blocks as follows: "MINUTE MAN" .... "PD 44 BM" Each block is marked 0032. A nice looking gold color, I suspect it is made of annodized aluminum alloy. The concept is intersting, flip the mold over for a bullet or flip it again to mold a ball.

Any idea of who made this mold and when?

Quite common back in the Bi Centennial era and for a few years before and after, the last great black powder bubble. From about 1974-1980 or so everybody was a black powder nut.

It appears to be a .44 mould for a cap-n-ball pistol. Roundball and conical. There are italian brass mould on the market (Pedersoli) with a RB and conical but the boolits are side by side. Your is unusual and haven't seen one like it. Try casting some of each and let us know what size they are. Most cap-n-ball pistols use a ball that is .451 in diameter.
