I was looking at Mid South's site and was thinking about ordering a 319247 for my 30/30's, and maybe 30/40. Although the 319247 is listed as a 32/40 boolit, it claims to be .311 which sounds good for my wide barreled rifles.

Has anyone cast this boolit? Does it really get close to .311 instead of .319?

Well the way Lyman is making molds it might drop at .311 but it should be about .322......Terry

TCFAB is correct. The 319 boolits are for a 32 (.321) and I think this comes from when most soft lead target boolits were undersized as the quick burning black powder would bump them up. All the Old Lyman molds I have which are 319 throw about .321.

Thanks Gents. I'll bet the .311 is a typo on MidSouth's site. It got my hopes up. Probably time to do some chamber casts and do a custom mould (or two).
