found some ignots 97% tin 3 % copper no lead solder. could that be mixed with lead in a reloader lee #20 pot.

From what i read . zinc is bad but copper should be ok if a little left in, we shoot copper jackets.

comments please?

You use so little of the tin anyway, that the amount of copper in there would be insignificant.
I think you're good to go.

Concur. Use as pure tin.

That copper will actually be a good thing. It will end up being in the "trace" value range in your final alloy, but will give you age hardening like arsenic.

Copper is good. At least to a point. Makes a nice hard boolit.

sure doesnt take much tin in a 20# pot 1/4-1/2 # should be plenty ( to too much depending upon the alloy you already have ) i tend to use as little as possible ( except when i make a bonafide #2 alloy ) if you added but 1/4# as stated the copper content is way way down there , i'd only use enough to make sure that i'm getting good fill out and only then if i'm having problems unless you're trying to use the tin as the only hardener for pure lead ( antimony does a much better job )
