Cartridges of the world says .508" diameter round nose 265 gr or 300 gr lead bullet.

It is for an 1871 Remington rolling block pistol.

Any information would be appreciated.

I'd just shoot a .510" boolit through it. If you don't cast, Cast Bullet Performance should have some WFNs to fit.

We have a very old Ideal mold that drops about a .510" diameter boolit that in pure lead will weigh about 300gn and in ww I think will go about 280gn.
Would be easy to run them through a custom .508" push through die.
Through a mutual friend I once sent some of these to member Mike V. This was long before castboolits though. They were intended for the same purpose as you for the Rem roller short.
I never did hear back from him about how they worked.
