This is one of the early Ideal molds with solid non-detachable handles. The number 375200 has been stamped into the side of the mold block. The oldest Ideal book I have is No. 18, and No. 375200 is not listed in this book. Does anyone have info on this number?

I don't have it with me but can look once I get home or you can send Floodgate a pm. He can tell you (the tables I have came from him) when it was introduced and when it was deleted form teh available listing.

Are those Lyman tables in some kind of electronic format or published somewhere? I'd love to have a copy of those if they could be had somewhere at a reasonable cost.

From Floodgate's work the 375200 shows up in HB13 (1901) and is gone after HB16 (1904).

Floodgate's table that I have are for ideal and Marlin -Ideal moulds from 1896 thru 1915. I will have to look at the ARTCA newsletters to see if this history is published as an article. If it was you should be able to order a reprint.

Using my Lyman/Ideal list, it shows #200 at the end of 375200 is a 300gr. FN, but was available from 132gr up to 300gr. A .38-55 mould is what the Ideal #15 handbook shows. ..Geo
