I have Lee push through sizers for .30 and 8mm. They work great and the price is right.

It looks like Lee does not make a sizer for 6.5. Uh oh.

Unsized 6.5's will be OK in the Carcano but not in the Swede (I'm guessing here).

The 6.5 mold is the Lee special order mold from MidSouth.

Without sizing the gas checks probably won't stay on when shooting the Carcano. I could shoot em bareback with some filler, the loads will be plenty light.

A 'real' bullet sizing rig and the dies and punches aren't cheap. Rats. Yeah, I'll keep the eyes peeled at the gunshows.

What do you think?

Thanks.

.............You should slug the throat of your Swede to see what it wants. I had 2 x M96's, and both were .268". I have a M91/38 Carcano Moshetto TS in 6.5 and it WILL swallow a .270" slug.

I can make you a Lee type push thru die or a Lyma/RCBS lube-size die. PM me for particulars.

Mike; Lee will make you one in the size you want, they made me a .266 " for 25.00 IIRC and was here in a week.

Mike,

Buchshot made a .268 Lyman sizer for me. The workmanship is top notch and it's cheaper than Lee's to boot. I believe my bore slugged at .266.

I can send you some bollits sized at .268 with a gas check so you can give them a try. This will help you decide on the diameter you want also. I may still have some of the boolits from the special order mold from MidSouth. I sold the mold as I had trouble with feeding in a CG-63. They did feed fine in a standard Swedish mauser though.

Send me a PM if you would like some boolits...

Lee has a .285 die on their web site http://leeprecision.com/cgi/catalog/browse.cgi?1165881329.424=/html/catalog/lubesize.html
and as stated they will make you one. I got one for a little less than $30.
