Hi everyone new to reloading and brand new to casting(yesterday). Here are my first casts,
.452 200gr SWC, from a Lee 2 cavity mold. Alot of good info came from this site to get me started.
First try.

and 3rd I remberd I needed to preheat the mold!

Excellent job... Looks like some reading around here did you a great service. Welcome to the addiction.. How do you plan to lube those rascals? Unless you have a lubrisizer already I would recommend pan lubing with some Carnuba Red and you will have an AWESOME little boolit over 4-4.5 grains of Bullseye.

Thinking about going with RCBS lube/sizer any thoughts on it? I am also thinking about pan lubing after watching several youtube vids.

My plan is to continue using 45/45/10 tumble lube and pan lube with FWFL (depending on whether it is for pistol or rifle) until I can afford a Star.

I would say, if your not going with a Star the RCBS or Lyman would be the next best thing. There are guys on here that all they have ever used was their RCBS or Lyman and they are more than happy.
