Thanks for the link. One day I am going to buid a rifling cutter and open up a few 303 Brits to 375-303.

Actually, it'll be a lathe attachment using the lathe power feed system and a fitted gear drive to rotate the cutter while the chuck is locked steady.

303 guy, I have helped on a sine bar rifling bench, rifling muzzleloader barrels. I have wondered if a badly burned throat could be opened up on the typical cordite burned barrel. Any Ideas?

I have seen pics of milsurps that had the chamber area cut out and a piece soldered in place of it. A new chamber with throat and a short bit of rifling were included. I rember wondering how they indexed the rifling of the insert to match the original so perfectly. Thinking on it I belive Dutchman might have posted these pics somewhere.

I was surprised how quickly the barrels can be rifled--thought it took much longer
