What cast bullet would you recommend for a S&W 460 Magnum?

300 gr. Lee.

Sort of depends on wht you want it to do. If you are going to be loading to match factory stuff, a really heavy boolit like the 3oo Grain Lee, or the 325 grain Lyman 452-651 is a good choice. However, being a little bit too far over the hill to have much liking for that sort of pounding. I'd try a lighter gas check boolit like the old Ray Thompson 452-490. My friend has one of those giant revolvers, and I encourage him to shoot Long Colt ammo out of it for plinking. For that purpose, I think the 45-270 that RCBS makes might be just the ticket, although any of the 250 grain boolits should turn the trick. The Lyman 452=190, or 452-424, or one of the Lee copies, the RCBS 45-250, just about any will do for lighter loads. You pays your money and you takes your choice.
