I have never used it . But Grafts has it on sale with a $15 haz mat for this weekend. I ordered some.
It is said to be a 7mm-3006 friendly powder. ButI need some load data to back it up.

Supposedly it is what Winchester loaded their 7mm Rem Mag ammo with. I have a bunch, intended to use it in my 260 but so far have just used it in the 375X338 Win Mag. It works well there, though is a tad slow for the application. I have noticed if you load it through a drop tube you can get way more of it in a case than if you just load it normally.

Buck,
Thanks for the info. Graf's is why I was interested ! I'm still not sure if I can really use it much. maybe for 8x57 by extrapolating 30-06 data, but not much else(7.62x54r,6.5x55,.260,)

Winchester has had such a poor history with very slow Ball rifle powders that they finally (and desperately) had to sell an extruded powder as their slowest offering. Rumor is that WXR is relabeled Reloder 22 - but don't tell anybody, LOL!

Now that they've come out with yet another slow Ball powder (780) they have discontinued WXR. That probably why it's cheap. Oh, and you can go ahead and use RL-22 data if you want to!

Thanks for the info about Re22, I saw some talk of that as I searched for info!
Well with Graf's $15 hazmat & a code for free shipping, I couldn't resist & ordered 5 lbs. Came to $15.99/Lb to my door!

I did some testing with the WXR today.
I worked up to 60.0 gr under a sierra 150 sp condum in a Rem 700 ,3006. I was getting dime sized groups at 50yd from the lightly compressed load. Its got a lot of push on the shoulder as well. Pressures were full but not overly so. ...Buck
