Been waiting for a 475L for long time. Supposed to be, being made, but? Dealer says it was in scheduled for production 4 or 5 months ago. Nobody else can find one.

What are they making?

From the looks of what I see on Gunbroker, it seems like they are dumping lots of resources into the long cylinder 45/70 and similar versions.

Why not call Magnum Research? They are friendly and accomdating when you call them.

I feel MR has found they can't keep up with demand for the best revolver for the price. They might be at the point where they need to expand.
Remember Ruger used to change the line for each caliber and run a bunch, then change to another gun?
MR might be at that place.
Only so much space and workers when demand goes up.

I got one before christmas from gunbroker. It is a fine gun well built and tight tollerances. I really enjoy shooting it. I got the 7.5" gun. then a couple of weeks ago I picked up a 480 ruger super redhawk to go along with it. The gun I got off gunbroker was by all apperances unfired with no cylinder ring or anything. The front's of the cylinder had no powder residue or anything. But It had a 2x leupold scope in leupold mounts and rings installed on it. I don't like a scoped handgun so I removed the scope and put a set of sights on it I bought from magnum research. This gun is a 480/475 linebaugh but I have only shot 475's through it and the 480 ruger i will shoot 480's in.

There's a BFR 475L for sale over on the Ruger forum for $650.00 - that's a great price in my book. The revolver is located in Lincoln, Neb. Here's the site:
