Any one have any experience with that one.
With the quality of the BFR's and the little longer cylinder i would think that it could be made to do a lot of things better than the BH.

Thanks

It looks like their heaviest at 77 oz and a 5 shot. They should make it in 45 colt to cut the weight down a lil bit.

The specs say 3.3 lbs= 53.5 oz.

BFR Magnum Research web site gives 3.3lb. I am talking about the short framed/short cylinder model.

Yes, I read 3.3 lbs at the BFR web site too. Looks like a good gun, about the same weight as a Ruger Super Redhawk.

That one had my attention, and if it were a 45 I would have bit. As it was, I opted to go ahead and get the 475 and have it shortened to 4 5/8. Should be a bit lighter than that 44.

That should prove to be a brutally strong piece!

tek4620,
Did magnum research shorten that barrel for you them selfs?

Are those Mag Research front sights attached with screws or soldered?

I was looking at their front sights if they are made to attach with screw to replace one on a Abilene that was buggered by someone before I bought it

I had Clements shorten it and add the Weigand Combat sight. The BFR sights are attached with a screw.
