Guess some would call it a crime, but I'd rather play with my toys than watch the Super Bowl. A few lessons learned though. This steel in this one is HARD. It took 3 good(non China garbage) hacksaw blades and hours to cut. I think I wore out my file flattening the muzzle. Ditto on my 11deg muzzle reamer while I was crowning it. I want to shoot something along the lines of 320+ grain hardcast out of this one, so I took a regular Blackhawk sight with the bottom filed flat and D/T'd it to the rib. This way I will have plenty of height to work with.
I also filed away the rest of the warning label on this one. Wasn't bad at all. I figured it couldn't look any worse if I filed at it. After all, nothing says custom like half the writing still on the barrel  I am in the process now of taking the shine out with Scotchbrite pads. The next home grown 4" Redhawk will be in 45 and will have the proper front sight since I have one on the way. Oh yea, and it will be blued.
Nice to have a good bit less than half of wholesale in my 4". I'll take some better pics in a few days when I can get outside with it. By then it will have some wood grips and be cleaned.

On a side note, I think the new energy saving bulbs are giving everything I take a pic of an orange tint. Guess I will have to change them out to regular bulbs and see what I get.
