Has anyone ever tried it? I just put checks on a few lee 356-120-TC boolits, and was wondering if anyone had ever pushed them hard. I was thinking of using 2400 or blue dot (yes, I know that the loads have been removed but maybe I'll find some old data and back off a bit).

It seems like it might be a fun load for flat trajectories and varmint whacking at around 2000 fps out of a levergun.

Ive shot some of the rcbs 125 gr rn gc for the 9mm sized to 0.358 dia in 357 mag but never really worked up a load or ckecked for accuracy beyond 50 feet.
In my rifle i use the lee GB 180 gr wfn gc ,excellent accuracy with or without gas ck installed for loads around 1000 fps 4.5 TG . with gc installed 12.0- 820@1450 fps or 16.5 Lil gun @ 1680 fps , all loads are extremely accurate.at over 100 yards

I'd love to get my hands on the lee 358-180-RF someday, but funds are somewhat limited here. For now, I'm going to play around with the lighter bullets to see what can be done.

What the nailer said about the 180 gr bullets. They are very accurate.I shoot my marlin out to 200 yards with 160 to 200 with the 180 giving the best results. All three are accurate to that distance.

I have never shot a cast 125 gr bullet in my Marlin but can tell you that the Rem 125 gr soft point in factory load is super accurate in my rifle.
As in fo here are the three bullets that i shoot.
Left to right 160,180 & 200 all three are set up with a crimp grove that feeds perfect in my Marlin.
Because the 160 and 180 has the same nose shape i had Veral cut the ring on the nose of the 160 so i can tell them apart when loaded.

My first successful cast bullet was a LEE 140 gr PB. I'd cast it in lino, and they'd weigh 128 grains. It was so cool, I could not make that bullet lead the bore no matter how hot I loaded them. They really funny part is that I pan lubed them with el cheapo LEE stick lube and sized them with the old hammer-through type LEE sizer.
