here is a load I have been working on for carry while woods bumming, main target being wabbits, squirrels and any other tasty critters. Load consists of winny .38 special brass, WSPM primers, 2.5grs of red dot and a Lyman 358432 160gr seated backwards. Launch platform is a smith 19-4. This target was shot at 35yds off hand.

That IS some fine shooting. I have that same mold, it has gone unused for 15 years or so.......never tried shooting them backwards, though. Another project pending, I do believe.

by fliping them around i cut my groups into 1/4 of what they were.

That design is kind of a strange one, all right. It's like a WC that wants to be a SWC, but can't make its mind up. Lyman #313492 is the same way, for 32 caliber revolvers.

you dont need a gun for pets....they will come right up to you

a claw hammer works just fine

redneckdan,
Is there any way you could try this load at 75-100yds., with a 1x4 as a target? Sounds like you have an interesting load. I also use a S&W Mdl. 19, but with a 6" bbl. I use 170-200gr. LFP or LSWC for the listed ranges.
