Marlin 1894 25-20 Barrel Reline?

Hey All,
My brother found a decent 1894 Marlin 25-20 with a bad bore. The gun is sn 427XXX, Octagon BBl, 27 1/2", about 0.59 across flats at muzzle and 0.81 at chamber. Like to have it relined, anyone know of a reputable smith to send it to?

John has relined a couple of my Marlins. The second one is probably your gun's twin. It's a real tack driver with Meister 85gr boolits over 6.5 grains of H4227. I like shooting it so much I bought a Hornady AP press to keep it fed. John is not only damned good, but he was pretty fast too. It was about five weeks from the day I sent it to the day I received it. I wouldn't hesitate to send more guns to him.
