Well, after smelting down all the lead I've collected over the last year, I've made a bunch of ingots. I put them all in a bucket and set it on the bathroom scale....

I now have over 100 lbs of ingots in the garage. I know, it took me a year to get here, but it keeps getting more fun all the time.

By the way, that does not include the about 40 lbs of lead boolits I've made.

Is lead addictive?:cbpour:

I think so.

Very good. It is pleasing to turn something that is waste into something useful isn't it.

Is lead addictive?

If you have to ask, you're probably already hooked.
Pretty cool stuff

I mentioned the addictive bit tongue-in-cheek. Yup, it's addictive. And I like it that way!

What suprised me is how small a pile a hundred pounds makes. I mean, I know lead is dense and all, but really, it isn't that big a pile. But it sure is heavy!

100# is a good start, make you about 3500 bullets. Stay with the collecting, it's going to get harder going forward w/ new regulations & metal prices going higher.

Like the above have said, good start but don't stop now! I just got told "No" yesterday at a tire shop that had given me WW's in the past. They are now "recycling" and even tho I tried to explain that I would "recycle" them, it was a no-go. They also told me they just got in all steel WW's. So now is the time to squirrel it away!

PS: Absolutely, lead IS addictive!!! :drinks:
