Booliteers, Understanding that this is more a schuetzen boolit, in following other threads, is there a Lee mold on file, (group buy??), that follows the "big butt", bore rider, " I likes me some big meplat", train of thought. Am building the wife a semi-sporter .303 and getting ready to venture into pouring for a Nagant and the idea of using this boolit in both to punch paper and venison both has me salivating. I am definitely not a noob to the silver stuff, but wandering into this site has been a gas!:lovebooli @(:^]#

I'm thinking that if venison is in the plan, you would be better served by the 311407..The gas check will likely aid in reaching a velocity appropriate to the utility of a .308-311 rifle in making meat.. I have both, with the 311403 boolit limited to range use,and mostly asembled there.. Onceabull

If for hunting check out the NOE311-165 bullet that is a copy of the Ranch Dog 311-165 except that it has regular grease grooves.

If he's working with a Nagant and 303, he might be better served with the Ranch Dog 311-165RF rather than the NOE. My RD cast .314" vs the NOE version at .311". Ranch Dog's bullet does have the TL bands, but is easily lubed with conventional lube in a lubrisizer. The RD is GC ONLY and NOT a bore rider, but has the WIDE meplat.
Another design that might work is the Saeco #307. Its the larger diameter version of the #305, but might still be too small in diameter.
There were some group buy 311014s made that cast .314" and that might be OK.
Other options would be to go to Accurate Molds and look at the 31-32cal designs and have something suitable cut to fit his rifles. http://www.accuratemolds.com/temp/catbMRxCy1296927634.pdf
or go to Mountain Molds and design something completely himself
