View Full Version : lyman 318475 mold ?

hi , can anyone give me any info on the lyman #318475 mold?.
i have 3 or 4 older lyman data books but non of them give it a mention,
my lyman reloading handbook 46th edition states it was used in editions 39 thro 41. neither of which i have , can anyone help?,,,,,,,,please.

I have not found a reference to the 318475, but found a 316475

casts a boolit that looks like a squat 311466.

about 155gr. got this from Ol' Buffalo Bullet Mould Table

I found the mould on ebay, and it fits with the pic on the table.

perhaps a custom diameter?

hi,yer nanuk thats the one i'm looking at .
here's a pic of the lyman 46th listing the mold.
the first pic is a little small but second shows it 1st colume 4th up,second colume shows editions it was used.

It almost sounds like a "J" bore 8mm Mauser bullet, but a picture of the cavities would sure help. As far as that goes, it could also be some forgotten paper-patch .32 bullet. You might see if the seller would take pictures of the cavities for you. That would probably settle it right off.

well no pics but looking at the cav its a loverin design and the nose of the pill goes just past the alighnment pins in the blocks,i'm guessing its about a 180gr or bigger,
