Have a MArlin 336 in 35 Rem. Just bought some cast boolits from someone who had no use for them.

205 gr RNFP-GC bullet. Sized .358 and lubed. Would prefer .359-.360 for the micro-groove rifling, but the price was right and something to play with.

I have looked at the normal load data (Lyman) and also Ranch Dog data for his 195 boolit. He shows data pushing them b/n 2000-2300 fps. I would like to do this, and not worried about leading with the GC.

Can anyone share any lead boolit data and powder recommendations to push this boolit to hunting fps/energy levels? I will us all data at my own risk, and youc and you can send it via PM if you are more comfortable with that. Thanx

Howdy !

If you can, check Lyman's loading data ( esp for a 205gr lead boolit ).

From memory, you could run with 35.5gr IMR3031 and good LR primer; in Rem brass.

I've shot a 214gr cast with 36.5grs of H322 for 25 years. Just a plain great all around load.

2015 gave me single digit standard deviations with a 204gr. Ranch dog level charges.

I'll give another vote for the AA-2015. A max load of that per the Lyman #49 manual behind the RCBS 35-200 FN shoots very well indeed from my Marlin 35 Remington. It also shoots to the same point of impact as the Hornady 200 gr. RN with the same load. There is no problem using jacketed bullet loading information from the manuals in this caliber with cast bullets of the same, or similar weight.

I just came up from the man-cave (basement) and have been reloading .35 remingtons for my Marlin. I loaded Re-7, 3031, BLC-2 and 5744. I will post the results. (I don't care how d*#ned cold it is or how much snow is on the ground, I'm going shooting tomorrow! Enough is enough of winter!)
