22 Bator Received

No phone call from Lee, but the new replacement mold came with a personal note and some lube for the pins/Vees. I stoned off all of the sharp edges, (staying away from the cavities), smoked, lubed and had 250 nice bullets in short order. The bullets match the original design print. They either fall from the mold of their own accord or do so with a light tap. The gas checks fit nicely, as well. I give this mold a "thumbs up" and a "Thank You" to Lee's Customer Service/Mold group. John

Shooter6br, A fellow named Bator designed this 22 GC bullet years ago. About 50 grains .520 long, 1/8 dia flat point with a .140 radiused ogive. A special order Lee mold available through MidSouth. The recent molds, with a "steped" gas check shank, are not a "new design", it was a manufacturing error, now being corrected.
