Just got back from our cowboy club's first ever practice day.

My RB shot like a dream. Had 5 different bullet/powder combinations (BP and smokeless, bullets 250 PP, 292 and 405 gr) loaded for her and she didn't miss a beat shooting them.

Got this rifle off gunbroker. Came with a tang and globe sight. Noticed the front sight was moved over to the left in the dovetail but turns out it needs to be there to hit the target.

Was hitting 2 ft square plates at 35 yards (that's all we had on the stage I was at.) Now I know 2 ft sq at that distance is not hard but I was happy.

Need to load up some more (didn't do a bunch the first time--hate to break down loaded ones if I can avoid it). Then back out and start working on 100 yard targets.

Did learn that full house loads and a steel butt plate makes you take notice right quick!
