Todays smelt

I just got done smelting a 5 gallon bucket of wheel weights and am very pleased with the results. From 1 five gallon bucket after sorting out the steel and zinc weights I ended up with about 3/4 of a bucket. from that 3/4 bucket I got 84 ingots that I think weigh about 1 to 2 lbs (I think). Looks like I need to go looking for some more wheel weights back at my favorite tire shop.

Lucky, I just sorted 3 5gallon buckets, got one 5 gallon (not full) bucket worth of WW and prolly 20 pounds of stick ons

I just finished smelting a bucket that yielded 92lbs of ingots. It has been a beautiful day here and I have 3 more buckets that I should have done but I am being lazy today.

I just spent 6 hours sorting around 600 lbs of wheel weights. I must be pretty lucky since I only ended up with maybe 10 lbs of steel and zinc. Tomorrow after work I'll get to making it into ingots.

If that is recent take, you are remarkably lucky. I'm losing over 1/3 of the bucket these days. And then clips after melting.:(
