I search the archives all the time for ideas on fixing problems with my molds, figure someone had the same problem.
One day I came across an how to clean lee mold (got tired of spending an hour clean molds then having to go back an clean them again because of missing some oil) and a few people said something about toothpaste and an toothbrush.
this past week, I received 4 new lee molds, 45 and 50cal 250gr lee real, 54cal 380gr lee real, and an new 530 rb. used the the toothpaste method on them. I am very pleased with how it worked. I did not even smoke the molds and boolits dropped just as good or better then all the work I use to do to clean them.
side note,
the lee reals need the a lot heat to start casting good boolits.
