Hello: Here is a pic of my maker.http://castboolits.gunloads.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=28896&stc=1&d=1296074066. It works much the same as all makers, it cuts a disc first, but in mine the disc is not removed. It is held captive inside the die, it is then formed by operating the lever on top, and it is expelled through a hole in the lower portion atop the press ram. It then falls into the spent primer tray. I have also made a new toggle for the press to change the position of the handle when operating, and the link also changes the force needed to cut the disc. It cuts very easy, I am using .016 flashing. My first test run only netted 601 checks in an hour. The biggest pain I found was cutting the strips of aluminum. I made a rotary shear to run in my lathe, with one half of it held in the tool post.
Thank you for your patience, I hope to get better at posting in the future...
Sincerely Stan N...

Nice job! Did you make the dies yourself?

Hi, yes I made the dies myself from pieces of hydralic ram and grade 8 bolts, and the non-serious parts just **** that was lying around..
