I just picked up two molds at the local gunshow. One is the Lyman #311466DX double cavity Loverin design. It had boolits in the cavities that mike .309 and weigh about 156grs. The other is a DC Ideal mold #358503. I noticed in Cast Pics research and data section that 311466 falls in the "missing page" section of numbers.
I was kinda impressed with the unusual design of the 358503.
Both molds are in good shape with the usual surface rust etc. that should easily clean up. I might mention also I paid $25 for both molds. :-D :-D :-D

If/when you get tired of looking at it, I'd be REAL interested in that 125-gr. #358503 wadcutter. It is one of the zinc-washer-base designs from Jim Harvey's Lakeville Arms Co., of which I am trying to track down various types. If interested - now or later - in turning a quick profit, PM me.

Thanks. floodgate

Floodgate;

This mold casts a .360+ slug that weighs about 137grs in WW metal. I suppose they could be sized, lubed, and loaded much the same as conventional wadcutters, but I have a couple other wadcutter molds and really wasn't looking for another. If the guy had been asking what used molds usually sell for, I may have passed. He had a couple others that I probably should have picked up. One was a Lyman/Ideal?, a DC #280???. It looked similar to Lyman #280473. The other was a Lyman 20 ga. shotgun slug mold.

Feel free to PM me with an offer for the 358503 if interested.

That 311466 /150 grain is the one I've been looking for to try teflon tape on An OLD copy of handloader magazine had an article on iy. Claimed full power in the 30-30 with no leading!
