Never had it make any difference in mine. Cast or jacketed, functions everytime. I have never really sat down at the bench and shot for groups.

I know you ask for Glock, but my XD loves Lee's Truncated Cone. One ragged hole at 20' all day long, with very little leading. I tumble lube and use AA #5 and have fired as many as 400 in one session. All leading came out with three passes from a bore brush after wet patching. Takes all of 5 minutes to clean. I wouldn't be afraid to to shoot 500-600 If I needed to.

Honest I get more fouling at the feed ramp some times!

I was wandering this too. I have been looking at the TC from Midaway myself and will be shooting them out of Glocks too.

DeanWinchester,

Is that the 124 grain tumble lube boolit? I know you said you tumble lube but I thought it might be the 120 grain boolit. I am shooting 124 grain RN boolits out of two Glocks with aftermarket barrels and am getting more leading than I would like.

It's supposed to be 124g, but mine drops 130g.

Lee 124 gr TC tumble lube. Wolf SS bbl.

Cast with wheel weights, tumble lube w/light coat of Lee alox. Size, then tumble lube again with another light coat, that's it!! NO leading! My shooting buddies love this recipe! Put 250 rounds thru it each time and no leading. Works for me. Been shooting this for years and my 26 loves them.

Use the same lubing on my .45ACP's with the same results in my Kimber. Use Lee 200 gr SWC in it.

Yes i use the same barrel and lee 124 gr TC tumble lube.

My question was do you allow any lube groove to remain exposed.?

I guess I don't really understand this, but I think you are asking if I make sure the alox is all the way down in the bullet grooves, totally covering the bullet. YES! I found out that if I listened to Lee and tumble lubed with a light coating so it it a light golden color, it worked just as well as wasting more alox and making them really dark brown.
