if you look back about a year, i posted a note about shooting in a mil surplus outlaw sniper match......stock vintage rifles with up to a 4x scope added.

well we just shot this years match.......
and the winner is

ME!
LOL

i shot 4 rifles( i work saturdays,,,so when i take the day off to shoot...I SHOOT!). we shoot 20 shots in 10 min from the bench. this years target was the famous...sr-21( X is .75/ 10 is just over 2")......this is a 100yd target....a 300yd rapid shrunk for 100yd use....and we stuck it out at 200 yds !...the object was to make things tuff...it did.

first rifle was a k31 that shot 1st place last yr(199-11x) to a dismal 157 this yr.
second rifle was a finn m39...2nd last yr with a 169 for 5th place this yr.
third was a yugo 8mm mauser.....new this yr 174.....SECOND PLACE THIS YR!
AND THE FINAL RIFLE.........
an FN israile 98 mauser in 7.62x51...new this yr.....177-2x

wish i could say this was cast boolits but alas it was not. the good news is that most rifles have enough rounds thru them that i feel comfortable shooting cast in them now..and my mold collection is much improved too.
NOW I NEED TWO NEW RIFLES FOR NEXT YR...A 96 SWEDE AND ??? 03-A3 ???

i then went to a a machnist estate sale, and then to a gun show......

all in all a good saturday !
