Well today I got a call from a buddy, he picked me up 300 lbs. of lino type metal for 50 cents a pound. I guess all I can us it for is my .45 ACP a bit too hard for my .45-70 !! But a good buy anyway...

Isn't it pretty hard for .45 ACP, too? (I don't gotz one, so what do I know about something on my wish list?) Add some to pure Pb or WW and enjoy a little hardness and better fill-out. I used to mix 1:3 lino:WW for .357 & .44 Mag. SWCs at moderate velocities, YMMV. Go to the LASC link for mixing options.

Congrats,

Richard

that is an very good deal!
use it wisely, lino is hard to come by
no need to use straight lino in the .45acp
i sometimes mix some lino with WW for magnum .44, and .357 loads
you could always swap some for pure or WW if you want
guys here are always looking for lino

Nice score! I got 50#'s of lino a few days ago for a buck a pound and thought I did pretty good! I agree waco: trade or sell it for WW's if your casting only .45's. You'll get a good bit of WW's for your lino, based on what I've seen surfing the classifieds here in the past...
