A friend gave me some plain base 120gr . 313 cast bullets that I am thinking about trying in my Mosin Nagant. He used them in his 32-20. They are commercially made bullets, and claim to have a Brinell hardness of 18.
I slugged the barrel and came up with .312, so that won't be a problem.
I read over Harris' article, and saw he had some data listed at about 1000fps, but I was hoping to get them up to about 1500fps for just general shooting at the range. Does anyone else do something like this, and if so, how are the results. Would 14grs of 2400 work, kinda like a load for the 7.62x39?
