Anybody ever buy a mold, get it, realize it's not what you were supposed to be buying and was happier about getting the wrong mold than you were about getting the mold you purchased?

Happened to me today. Found what was supposed to be a 311335 mold new in the box for a reasonable price. Bought it and got it today. Box says 311335. But when I opened the box up, out came a brand new 313631. Contacted the seller, he said if you are happy, keep it. Thing is, I had been looking for a 313631 for a while now, but the only ones I found were on auction and went way too high. Guess I'll be happily casting for the 32's tomorrow instead of the for the 30's. Thanks, Billy

Years ago I ordered an RCBS 30/165 to shoot Silhoutte from RCBS. They inadvertently sent me a 30/155 SP from their Custom Shop. I called them up and told them of their mistake and was advised to keep it if I wanted it or return it and they would resend the correct mould. Needless to say I kept it.

I bought a mold on fleabay, 148 double end wadcutter. I didn't need one, but it was going for $9.00. I opened the pkg to find a 158gr SWC, standard lube Lee mold. Cool...

stubshaft, I have that mold. Works excellent in most 30 cals. Really shine in the K-31 Swiss.

BCall;
Consider yourself very lucky, anyone who
owns a 32 magnum and does not have this
mould has deprived themselves of a excellent
boolit. I do not think this mould is in production at this time.

Not with molds but when you order a few items from Numrich Arms you may get items you didnt order.

I bought a 321297 off fleabay a couple years ago. When it arrived I found that someone had drilled out the gas check shank. Makes a great 100 yd. plinker/practice load for the 8mm and .32 Win. Spl!

Not with molds but when you order a few items from Numrich Arms you may get items you didnt order. That's happened to me buying from numrich before too. Only thing is, they charged me for the junk that I didn't order.

I swapped a mold with a member here, and the handles wouldn't come off, so I sent it to RCBS. They kept the old mold, and sent me the 45-255 SWC to replace it. It turns out that they had mis-cut a number of these molds, and they asked for it back.. I still have it. The top punch was supposed to be 424 but ends up it used the same top punch as the mold for my 476-400 SWC, a 638. It makes great boolits, but now I want to trade it off for a RCBS 45-300 SWC...

Those unexpected surprises are a lot weirder than the surprises that you were expecting.

I won a Lyman 45 Colt die set some time ago on EB** that was listed in the wrong category. It had a very generic description (memory fails me now), but the price was right. Turned out to be a 4 piece carbide with 2 different bullet seaters.

Somebody sent me a progressive Hornady shotgun reloader. Pretty nice machine. I assumed that somebody sent it to me instead of another member of the site here. Posted here, nobody ever claimed it. Never did figure out who sent it to me.

Reloaded quite a few shells with it.
