I've also gone to that site as this past summer picked up from CMP a Bavarian/Austrian M1 Carbine. Did put a few rounds thru it when I was home on leave in Dec. Actually purchased the Carbine for my wife as her great uncle was David Marshall Williams, who designed the short stroke gas system for Winchester.

ETA Forgot to add that I have another Erma Firearm Manufacturing made reciever (rest is USGI) down at my mothers house. That's the one I started reloading for back in the 80s.

Used to have 3 carbines, now down to 2. both shoot cast real well.
got 1" groups with a scoped one with the Sierra 110gr HP and 296.

Anyone need some original magazines?
On one of the other boards I visit a guy has 7 original mags for $50.
Can't even get them frpm the CMP at that price!
