Most lever actions that are stock with no work performed on them will feed the TC bullet. The best bullet in my mind is a RNFP. If you will look at the loaded ammo wi8th lead bullets you will see thst this is the bullet of choice. The SWC design does not always do as well and may cause jamming with certain rifles. Some lever guns are very sensetive to the OAL of each round. It depends on the model and the design of the rifle. I shoot SASS matches and only load the RNFP for all my shooting. Some people call them the cowboy bullet. They work well on both 4 and 2 legged critters.

My puma model 92 is sometimes picky about what it will feed smoothly but so far
Lee's 452-255-RF mold has worked flawlessly.

Good, accurate, reliable, and cheap: Lee 452-255-RF as Aaron said. You can crimp in the crimp groove or crimp in the front lube groove, they will feed either way and fit SAA revolver cylinders, too.

The Lee 255 RF is a good PB for what you are after and the Lee 300 GC mold is also a good heavy boolit which has two crimp grooves suited for those lever actions that need a shorter COAL or others that are not picky you can crimp on the longer COAL crimp groove and increase case volumn.

THe only issue w/ most TC molds is they lack a crimp groove. The RCBS 2cav 225grCAV is a good choice: https://shop.rcbs.com/WebConnect/MainServlet?storeId=webconnect&catalogId=webconnect&langId=en_US&action=ProductDisplay&screenlabel=index&productId=3361&route=C12J059
I like the Lee 200gr or 255grFP, works fine in my 1873 & 1866.
