Lee BPCR 45cal Rifle cast bullet mold,moud 457-405 Lee bullet mould, single cavity. 90374 I may buy this mold for a winchester model 94 in 45 lc. anyone else us this mold and is it any good?

I have that mold and use it in a 45-70. It may be too heavy and long to work in a 45 Colt in a 94 Winchester.

I am thinking along the lines of NickSS, too heavy. A heavy boolit for the 45 long Colt is about 300 grains. I have sized down some 330 grain boolits (Lyman 458122) to fit in my 45 long Colt and fired them with a full case of black powder. Fun, but not what I was looking for. You might consider something lighter for the rifle.

Are you just experimenting or trying for a specific purpose? The 255 grain boolits from a revolver penetrate well and fly fairly flat compared to the heavier ones.
