I'd like a mould that makes bullets similar in design to the Ly311299 only larger to fit the .375 Ruger (prob'ly about 270gr & gascheck). I don't see anything cataloged by Lyman or RCBS that looks like what I want, does anybody make something like this (in steel) or am I gonna' have to go to a custom mould maker?

Well, if it was me I'd find an old mold and get it modified to order at www.hollowpointmold.com before I'd buy a custom made set of blocks.

I shoot a BRP 275 grain solid/266 grain HP in my 375 H&H and it's a good one producing great accuracy. I have it in a 2 cavity with one hollow pointed. It's not quite what you are looking for, but I've not found a boolit design that has shot better and I've used 2 different NEI designs and the Lyman 375449 and 375248 designs. The 375449 is a close second though, but I hated the multiple lube grooves.

may want to take a look at Accurate Molds and see what Tom has for ya
if he don't have it you can talk it over with him and get what you want
exactly what you want
that is of course if you don't find what you need an do go custom

Checked out the BRP website, .....378-275-GC looked really interesting! Prob'ly order one of those, then read further...---.368" nose diameter :-( darn, won't work for me. My .375 Ruger must have a pretty tight bore? My pet BPCR Ly378674----335gr bullet has a .365" nose and even it's too big to fit between the lands. Guess it's custom mould time?

Where are you checking the boolit's BR nose fit to the bore? Are you sticking it into the muzzle, or checking fit with a dummy round in the chamber? It makes a difference.

I was sticking it in the muzzle, you're right! As per your suggestion I loaded a cartridge up and tried it in the chamber-----it fits :bigsmyl2: 335gr Ly378674, ran it thru' a (377) sizing die & lubed with SPG, sizing bumped the nose up to .366", the rifling didn't even touch the nose. While I was at it instead of making a dummy I primed it and charged with 12gr Unique. Gun went "bang" and made a nice round hole in the huge snowbank out the basement door [smilie=w:
Thank's for the reply, I'll be ordering one of the BPR 378-275-GC's today!

The design is a good one and has proven itself for my loads.
