I don't know if this is the right place to post this so whoever is the moderator here please feel free to move it.
I went hunting over at the BIL's yesterday and he had a new score to show me. His uncle works at a junk yard and asked him the other day if he needed any brass. He had two DRUMS of brass and bullets and other reloading stuff a guy left at the dump. Included loaded rounds brass in boxes once fired lead, copper jacketed bullets and loads of stuff. There were several rounds I have never seen before.
The pic is some of them, The left round is a 45-70 for reference.

Well I just have to say this, whatever is in the drums and the reloading equipment should be well worth your time to go through and do some brass sorting and save whatever reloading stuff either for your self or sell it here. So if you can get it do so. Besides I think all of us are scavengers or recycler's of one sort or another. Have fun, Frank

I'll guess 9.3x74R for the third one and one of the others a 50-70?

I have one like in the middle, the headstamp says CSA, 40/45, basic.

the one on the right is a 50/70, second from right has 14.5x51 das on the head stamp, third from right has "rws and USA" on the head stamp, the one with the shoulder has "TGS" on the head stamp.
The one on the left is one of those "new fangled" Hornady Lever-Evolution loads, size unknown .357? or maybe .444
PS: The brass will be about .1 too short for normal bullets. HIGH pressure almost guaranteed due to decreased combustion space... Ye been warnd

After looking at the schematic I don't think you would want to drop it on it's nose

YEP I'm pretty spooked to handle it now that I found out what it is.

Pretty hard to be sure without having one in my hand but it looks to be "unarmed" prior to being fired. The threads indicate the possibility that abrupt rotation may free the firing mechanism.
