Anyone got an idea as to how old these gas checks are?
Got the bottom tin of Hornady checks for free and the top one for $5.
Think they might still work as intended?

Early 60's with the Hornady,
maybe the same with the Lyman-Ideal.

I didn't see any expiration dates on the labels. Should be fine.

The lymans were the only kind I could get back in 1959 when I started.

The Lymans might be brass, like the old ones I have. They work but do tend to come off in flight so don't shoot them over a chronograph.

I've got a tin of Hornady GCs like that. The price tag is still readable. Says "FedMart" $2.45
Goes back a ways I guess.

Now wait just a minute there Wilco.
Everything has to have an expiration date one somewhere or the gubermint will step in and declare them unsafe to use.
Maybe we should all step up to the bar and help him do away with an unsafe product a few at a time.
If we all help the gubermint should not be able to follow them and get him in trouble.
