I'm going to use some 100gr lead bullets I use in my .380's but couldn't find any info for it. Found Hodgdon's info for 100gr. FMJ but wasn't sure how much to down rate this for a lead bullet. Any help?:bigsmyl2:

I think you would be safe using the FMJ data for your lead boolits. Since the lead travels through a bore easier than FMJ the pressure should be a little less.

Yes, that would be true if the lead boolits were HARD. If soft, the lead will/might expand too fast using a high pressure load. ... felix

Hodgdon say's start with 4.7 and don't exceed 5.0 for a 100gr FMJ. Reckon if I start with say 4.0 and go up to say 4.5 I'll be safe? My lead mix was 9lbs soft to one pound of solder. Don't have a hardness tester. Have some harder lead but no bullets. Like to use up what I have first.

Andrew Quigley, if I have learned anything on this board it is: if Felix says so then it must be true, forget what I said in the post above. I learned something about hard boolits and soft boolits today.

I have used 4.2 gr of Titegroup under 121 gr Plated bullets through my M&P. Avg Vel 1091 fps. I would think something around 4 gr. should work for you with the lighter boolt.
