Has anyone tried out these guns? I have two Sig 230s and a Walther PPK in .380, and they're really fine guns, but they're heavy (17 oz. or so), and more than I want for concealed carry.

Was looking at these S&W Bodyguards today. They have integrated lasers, and feel really good in the hand. Trigger pull on both is amazingly smooth. Anyone here have any experience with them?

I have a 1969 manufactured Model 49 which is deeply blued and has an outstanding trigger. According to the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, it weighs 20-ounces. I think it serves the intended purpose exceptionally well.

I got a Bodyguard .380 for my wife. It was a pretty good trade!
Seriously, it's been too cold and snowy out here to give it a good wring out, but early indications after only 20 rounds, is that it's a nice concealed carry piece, especially for a lady. it only weighs a little under 12 ounces, and we like that. The integrated laser sight did not need adjusting on our gun. So far my ammo has been el cheapo $14.00/box of 50 bought at a gun show. I still haven't made my mind up yet if i'm gonna load for it since I don't expect either of us to use it much, just enuf to stay proficient.
However, if a "good deal" came up on a set of .380 dies, I'll prolly spring for them!
Any suggestions on a bullet mould?
OH, Oh, I see where this is going!!
Help!

Haven't shot one yet, but at my local shop there is one and it looks like the best of the ultra compact .380's. Think its a great buy for under $400 bucks too. Tempted to get one for my wife.

Those P-230s are a right fine pocket pistol, though the all-steel variants have a bit of heft to them. I've owned a bunch of 380s, and found none better than the SIGs.

I bought a Ruger LCR (38 Special) for my self - just something to put in my pocket instead of the holster for my 9.

Wife shot it - bad mistake on my part - she liked it but said I want one with the laser, so I bought her one with the Crimson Trace grips on it from the factory.

Both shoot extremly well. I did load down 38's for practice, but anything I put in it shoots great to 15 yards which is further than these are really meant for.

I thought about the S&W 380 body guard - but for the wife I like the simplicity of the revolver. And I already have a LOT of 38 cases and multiple moulds for it. Right now I am casting the Lyman 358311 in a 4 cavity for it.

Had Buckshot HP a single cavity 358477 - BIG hollow point.

I like the Rugers, everything I read the S&W's are as good, maybe even a little better.

I like the fact that they moved the moved the cylinder latch. I don't like getting the skin scraped off the side of my thumb by traditional J-Frames.
