circa 1971.

I want to order an Accurate Mold #31-170C, and also a lube sizer die. My barrel slugs @ .3087. I'm thinking .311, but would appreciate advice from those most experienced with this rifle.

I'm just trying to avoid starting out too small. Been there done that.

Most M94s have large throats............... Even though you should size 0.311", a boolit that doesn't fill up the throat will not shoot as well as it could. I use the BRP 311440 for the Winchesters.... no, it will not chamber in a Marlin or Savage, but the 94s like it.

My Ly31141 drops castings from Ly#2 at right about .3125" and just slightly out of round. Run 'em thru' a nominal (313) sizing die & lube 'em and they come out ready to seat at .312". Quite accurate and no leading at speeds up to 2000 fps.

Ok, so .312 sounds about right then. Thanks.

I use a .312 die to seat checks and lube all my .30 slugs.
The only one it really sized is the SEACO #316 150 grain.
