Need mild 38-55 loads,have Unique and 2400

My dies finally arrived...RCBS cowboy dies,and I"m ready to load !!

trouble is I don't have 'the right book'..I have 255 grain Beartooth fp boolits,and just 2 powders for now,Unique and 2400.
Looking to take it easy on the old Model 94,something around 1100fps or so.
Several google searches came up with 9 gr. Unique,whacha think, and how about 2400,will that do the job?

either will work

15gr 2400 under 255gr plain base goes 1200fps per Lyman/Ideal 40th.
10.6gr Unique is good for 1300fps
