What top punch for the ranch dog 265gr. 44 cal bullet

HI,
I find that the top punch I have been using deforms the nose of the ranch dog 265 gr. gc. bullet badly. I thought I had bought the right top punch (Lyman 360) but it is not working.
Medplat dia. on the ranch dog bullet is .312 ,
So what top punch do I need??????????????

Just use a flat punch as close to the meplat diameter as you can find.

I would have to make one, as I am not aware of anyone who make a flat punch.
Do you know of anyone who makes them already for the Lyman 450 lube sizer??????????:Fire::Fire:

Smear a couple of coats of wax on a boolit nose. Put epoxy in the punch and set the boolit in it until it hardens. Do it on the sizer so all is held straight but don't force the boolit into the size die, just gently lower the handle.
