brand of gas checks

Is the Lyman gas checks worth the extra money over Hornady brand? I have used the lyman in the past just looking at the cheaper Hornady. What brands have you had the best luck with?

There's nothing wrong with Lyman gaschecks.
I like the crimp on feature of the Hornady gascheck,
and as you have noticed, Hornady checks are cheaper.
Check with Blammer I think he sells gaschecks.

I tried Blammer first, I think he is doing year end inventory and I was unable to order any from him. I ordered them from Midsouth. I would like to try his, for sure he has a good price on them.

I use only Gator checks sold by Blammer. Price is good and the gas checks fit tight on all my gas check boolits. I tried Lyman on my 44's and they fit on the loose side. Try to get samples to see what works for you.

I have cast for many years and never used a gas check, why do you need them.
