What was the load, Jim?

To me, it's most interesting how much more crisp the bullet grooves stayed with the harder bullet.

Velocity & accuracy were pretty close on the two different alloys. Everything else was the same, lube, diameter, gas check, primer, powder charge, brass, seating, crimp, etc.

If anybody has a Handi Rifle barrel in that caliber that they are looking to sell, please let me know.

I'm also willing to pay a fair price for hen's teeth. I'm figuring that my chances are probably better looking for the hen's teeth.;-)

The soft one was recovered bird shot + 1% tin, air cooled. The hard one was recovered bird shot + 15% babbitt, water dropped.

Excellent! I have a bunch of recovered birdshot; I will give it a try.
