Star problem

My Star started binding on me while using it today and I believe the cause to be the
crankshaft assembly. Anyone ever take it apart and could answer a couple of
questions for me?

1) I assume I have to remove the link pin to isolate the assembly. How does the
link pin come out? Just press it out?

2) The assembly drawing doesn't really tell me how this gets taken out. If I
remove the handle does the shaft then slide out of the casting on the link side?

Before you try to take it apart, make sure that all the moving parts are well lubricated. The top slide sometimes binds if I let it run dry.

Keep the little divots full of oil and lube the shafts first to see if it's really binding. It makes a big difference.

Thanks guys. I think that lack of lube must have been the problem. I loaded it up with some
moly grease and it seemed to help. I have lubed around 7-8000 in the past couple of weeks
and I guess I ran it dry about 500 from the end.
