Ok I'm in for a 4 cavity PB at this stage
but may order a RG2 before this buy closes
what weight would you guestimate it would throw? I want to use this in a Win 94 44/40 as a play gun for close range pigs and goats (100y give or take) I'm looking at driving the boolit around 1500fps out of a 20" barrel would there be any benefit in stopping power using a HP boolit at these speeds (50/50 PB/WW air cooled alloy) I've never used a cast Boolit on game before and am a unsure of which way to go

I would also like to express interest is this same design in the 38-40, especially in an RG version. I have several 38-40 rifles that I enjoy shooting and it would be nice to standardize on one good boolit! I too think that .402 would be a good size.

432-200 on each end with a roll crimp on RP brass. Mav 200 in the middle with a Lee factory crimp on RP brass. 432-200 looks just like the Lyman 427098. Gonna shoot some today but the results will be irrelevant because they will not be 200 yards. Just 50ft.

what load are you using Savvy Jack?

Uberti Cattleman 5.5" Barrel

RP Brass
WLPs
38gr Swiss FF
Tapped settled, then
Compression die with .20 compression
Roll crimp

50' bench rest (but not perfect)
1.5" groups with 6 shots

951fps@435ft/lbs of energy

I think with the proper bench rest and shooter, it's a tack driver. I think for the long distance shots, others will use 35gr of Swiss FF

I loaded up 6 more with CCI 300 primers...don't waist your time. Don't have any CCI Magnum primers.

I really like them!

Savvy Jack,

Just let me know and I can maybe find you a few of the HP's. And I think its close to the perfect boolit already!

Kevin

On another note entirely, we should add the word "boolit" to the dictionary so that it does not always come up as a mis-spelling?

Just received my mold today. As always Swede, a beutiful mold. Wont be able to try it for a while as it is a birthdy present.

Just a thought Swede, You might consider sealing it in a plastic bag for international customers. This one arrived in good condition, but on the same day I recieved one from 'another vendor' and the packaging was soaking wet and it had rust spots starting to form on the sprue plate.

Thanks again Swede.
